Race 7 – TEXCO SCV Family Cup
What a difference a year makes! On this day last season, we were preparing to close The Whitt for winter. Fast forward to today, and Mother Nature has delivered her apology with a perfect day of skiing on Mount Buller.
This afternoon we celebrated something very special, the return of the TEXCO SCV Family Cup. After a few interrupted years, it was fantastic to see this race back on the calendar for the first time since 2022.
Week after week, it’s the support of sponsors like TEXCO that keeps our racing program alive – making it accessible, fun, and focused on improvement for skiers of all ages. The Family Cup is a true reflection of what SCV is all about: generations racing side by side, parents and kids sharing the course, and families competing together in the spirit of community. That’s what makes today so special, and we are thrilled that TEXCO brought this event to life. Thank you!
Next week is Nationals, there will be no SCV racing next weekend. We’ll return in style on Saturday, September 13, with a triple-header featuring the Presidents Cup, Andy & Mandy, and the Ray Lopez Trophy.
