Ski & Snowboard Racing

Racing is one of the main reasons SCV was created and until 1955, it managed all Victorian skiing and ski racing.

Today, race days are competitive, but never at the expense of fun. Everyone who participates gets the credit they deserve – unless their own children beat them (as often happens) and then there is plenty of friendly ribbing all round.

There are always plenty of races to choose from. SCV members can join Saturday racing, member ski-arounds, skills clinics and Saturday race presentations.

SCV Saturday races have helped to create many Australian ski and snowboard champions and the SCV Race Committee is keen to encourage plenty more.

Racing registration is open from 7.00 am -11.00 am each race day at The Whitt reception.

The Andy & Mandy Cup began in 1988 and is the longest perpetual trophy in the SCV!

Awarded to the fasted boy and girl off scratch from the 17 and under categories it’s a favourite for the kids.

 

The Ray Lopez Cup

This Cup was instigated by the Lopez family and is awarded to the fastest male and female over 40.
