Ski and Snowboard Racing

Racing is one of the main reasons SCV was created and until 1955, it managed all Victorian skiing and ski racing.

Today, race days are competitive, but never at the expense of fun. Everyone who participates gets the credit they deserve – unless their own children beat them (as often happens) and then there is plenty of friendly ribbing all round.

There are always plenty of races to choose from. SCV members can join Saturday racing, member ski-arounds, skills clinics and Saturday race presentations.

SCV Saturday races have helped to create many Australian ski and snowboard champions and the SCV Race Committee is keen to encourage plenty more.

RACE 5 - Pirie Ladies Day

A Weekend to Celebrate Women

Get ready for a weekend packed with good vibes, great racing, and plenty of bubbles. Pirie Ladies Day is all about celebrating women, both on and off the slopes.

Things kick off Saturday from 11:30am on the sun deck. We’ll have Pirie Tasmanian Sparkling on happy hour all weekend, fresh oysters and  plenty of sunshine. It’s the perfect spot to relax before the action starts.

At 2:00pm, we race on Little Buller Spur. The fastest woman off handicap will take home the Pirie Ladies Day Trophy. Whether you’re competing or just cheering everyone on, it’s going to be a fun one to watch.

Please note: racing has moved from Skyline and will now take place on Little Buller Spur at 2:00pm. The fastest woman off handicap will be awarded the Pirie Ladies Day Trophy.

Presentations will be held at 5pm at the Dump Inn.

This isn’t just about racing. It’s about recognising all the amazing women in our community and enjoying a weekend on the mountain together.
